Hello everyone, as of now i can't drive my baby around right now. The whole peice that holds my trunk down is not working anymore, so you can just pull my trunk up. With a system in the trunk i don't feel too safe about going anywhere. I have checked at some auto part stores and none of them seem to have one. Should i go to a junk yard for this type of part or just go straight to GM.

Also, my car comes with the power door locks. And the problem with this is when i hit the "lock" or "unlock" button it only works for the passenger side of the car. Cold this be just some kind of short or might the motor for my side just went. Any help would be much helpful.

I just fixed my door lock problem a few weeks ago. First thing to check is if your lock actuator is firing, if it is you should hear it in the door when you hit the lock button. If the motor is firing take off the door panel and check the bellcrank. It is the part that is rivited to the door and that the actuator goes to. Mine was broken that is why the driver door would not lock. Part cost $10 at a dealer and took about 5 mins to replace if the door panel is still off. Could also be one of the linkages is off somewhere, the bellcrank seems to be a common problem from my past research.

Part No. for driver side bellcrank is 22583825, not sure if passenger side is the same part or not.
