Does anyone have the 0-60 or 1/4-mile times for a stock '87 Z24 2.8L hatchback with a 3-spd automatic ?

All I can find are times for modded cars or manual.

I'd like to know if one could smoke little euro cars. I'm especially afraid of the auto trans in this Cav... Hotbacks here in Europe have quite a punch for a lightweight chassis : around 100HP for 2000 pounds, albeit the torque is kinda weak because of the 4-cyl with less than 2L displacement, and they all have manual 5-spd.

ok ok, 18's, but thats it. still....im sure an 87 cav with a 2.8 auto, has had a rought life, and isnt neccessarily running the best with an assload of miles, (assuming). 18's

hm its got under 60,000km's which is 37,500miles. So i bet its still very healthy. a stock Auto 2.8 should only run 18+ if its on 5 cylinders.
17flat to 16.5 would be a safe number for the 1/4

yup i had an 88z 5 speed that had 250k miles on her, beaten everyday of her life and was able to pull a mid 16.

whoever ^^ above that was mentioning 18 and 19 seconds... you must be thinking about a 4cyl engine.

Mid 16's easy.

Though, I have no idea how quick your euro competition is in the 1/4

well..with a new transmission and 130,000 miles mine ran a 17.4..thats the day i started to hate my car :( . the guys who put in my trans put in a wierd torque converter and just has never pulled like the orginal has..
