yesterday, my car started runnin like shit-instantley. i checked it out at my house figuring something went wrong. i figured my catalytic converter was plugged, so i cut it out, and just put test pipe in its place. then it dawned on me to check for spark in all 6 cylinders, well come to find out i was runnin on 4 cylinders cuz i thought my left side coil burnt up. i got a new coil(not cheap)but to no avail, i still wasnt gettin spark. i checked in my haynes manuel, and did all the tests, and they all pointed out that it was the igniton control modual. so in effect im bringing the fucker to a mechanic- its probably gonna cost like 300-500 to fuckin fix, but if my cav is back to the way it was, ill be really happy......

Fix it your self. There are instructions in the Haynes manual that explain on how to do the job. Why take it to the mechanic and have him screw you without vaseline.
ECM's are easy to get at any auto parts store. Just buy one and replace it. There is not much to it. Unplug the old one and reinstall the new.
Good luck.

The ignition control module what the coils mount into, so if you have already have the know how to replace a coil, you can replace the module. Just remove all three coils, and the module is right behind them.
