Well it looks like i have the 2003 Coastal Empire Auto-X series wrapped up here with still 3 events to run..

I have a good 30+ points over 2nd place and 40+ over 3rd.. Last year i placed 5th overall. Z runs in stock class

I run the civic in the Jacksonville region and am currently 2nd in FSP (street prepared)

I also compete in the South carolina region and currently have 1st in FSP.

Everyone should try to find an event to go near your area. But be carefull, once you attend an event you start forgetting things like your family, dog, eating, and becomes an addiction.

go here to find an event near you
http://www.scca.org

scroll down and on the right side of the screen you will see Region Locater

i have driven up to 6 hours away to attend these events. usually no more than 3 hours north, west or south.. but its all worth it

you want to look for SOLO II. it requires a drivers license and a car that can pass a basic tech inspection. SOLO I requires min 4pt. cage, fire bottle , suit, window net or arm restraints etc... I will be doing this next season and also PRO SOLO which you can read about on the SCCA site

Entry Fee $15-$30 depending on the region and site. a few bucks more for nonmembers of the SCCA. if you join you get a free auto-X.

you need a valid drivers license, and a car that can pass a basic tech inspection.. battery secure, no loose objects in the car, wheels on tight, thottle linkage, steering, brake pressure etc...

thats it...

bring a cooler full of drinks and get there early to walk the course a few times..* important*

ask questions, everyones is eager to help novices so ask to ride with people..
