K&N Air Filter for 2.8L V-6?

ya i was wondering this too, i bought one for mine and i was wondering how much more it would add to mine too.. same size engine

Aprox. 10hp or less on a stock engine. K&N claims as much as 20hp, or 20% increase. But I haven't yet seen anyone make more than 10hp on a 3.1 with K&N

That seems 'bout right. Only on slightly modified engines in good shape, have I seen more HP gains, but not verry much. The main reason why I bought mine was for increased air flow and the ability to re-use the filter

actually i always figured it did two things, 2-3 horses and better throttle response. If your old filter was really dirty then it was robbing your car of horsepower, so it would give you that back and maybe a horse or two.
