They would be good for DRL's but not headlights. They are only 1 watt LED's which are bright, but just cant match the halogen lights in brightness just yet. I cant wait for the technology to improve so that we can have LED headlights. I am just waiting for OEM manufacturers to use them..... then we know that they are durable and bright enough to use ourselves.

my flashlight has a 3W LED bulb.. lol

they seem ok but i hope they're regulated.. if not then they won't last long
Yeah I did mine also for the side markers and looks pretty decent.

A lot of new concept cars have LED headlights... but they are still experimenting with whats best. Some are using a honeycomb of 7 large LEDs, and some are using several large LEDs remotely located, and have fibreoptic cables running to the headlight.

The honeycomb headlight is neat... it basically looks like an infinity projector. 3 LEDs come on for the DRLs/lowbeam, and 4 come on for the highbeam.

There are others, but those are just some neat ones.
Yeah, I was at world congress in Detroit a few years back and talked to the companies who sell LED technology to manufacturers. They were telling me that by 2010, there should start to be cars with LED headlights on the market.

We will see!
