Hi

I am new to the group and have an issue that I hope some other members have experience with. I have a 93 Z24 with manual trans. The shifter cables are shot and need replaced. Can anyone who has changed these provide any tips, advice, watchouts, etc? I have one new GM cable and one new aftermarket cable and a free weekend coming up...

Hi and welcome to v6z24

These are from the 88 service manual. Pretty much everything is the same, except the cable connections at the trans (I think this is the Isuzu trans shown), but you'll see that and shouldn't have any problem there.

Hard to get to the firewall pass through. That will probably be the worst part of the job.
