I'm trying to decide between two different mufflers - the Flowmaster 50 series DeltaFlow or the Edelbrock 304 series. I'm looking for unbiased opinions, as I know Moon has a Flowmaster. I know the Flowmaster's a good choice, but Edelbrock is a very respectable company. Then again, putting Edelbrock on a Cavalier seems out of the ordinary. I'm just confused.
Any feedback would be nice. Thanks.

I recently got a magnaflow and it has given my car more power than I expected along with a high flow converter. It sounds like a small block v8 at idle but ripes when given the gas. It was completely stainless steel and will not rust and has a lifetime warranty on it also. Thats is what i would recommend based on price and value. It was around $320 installed for the converter and muffler and misc items.

See ya later

I'm just looking for the muffler at the moment, and I'd be installing it myself, I refuse to let a garage do any work on my car since the last incident. The Flowmaster runs about $80, while the Edelbrock runs about $110. I won't be changing the catty unless I have to, since I need the low-end torque off the line (The only cars that have kept up with me off the line are Z28's and a T-bird turbo coupe). Though I may just hold off on that entirely, and save the cash. I'm going to start buying cars at government auctions and reselling them so I can afford an F-body - the Z24 will be for winter use, since RWD is horrible in snow. Anywho, I'm rambling.

Thats a decision of personal taste on the muffler. I went with the Dynomax Super Turbo on the 97z. Good sound and it doesnt protrude into the interior with windows closed.
Check the flow rate of each if your worried about performance. Ask the dealer about the sound and maybe a car with one of each installed.
Like I said, tough decision. Good luck in your choice.

Thanks for the help, though I still don't know what I want. I'll just hold off on that for a while until I decide.
