Hi guys,

I'm taking a moment to share with you some picture of my new ride. It's a 1987 IROC-Z28. It is not in a perfect shape but i'm going to give it the TLC it need's.

As of now my Dream garage is complete. One Z24 and it's older brother Z28!

Can't wait for Summer time!!!

Sweet ride! Looks sharp, although Im not a huge fan of the back tail lights.

Looks pretty legit, but its missing the fog lights, to be sure its an IROC you should have RPO code Z28 and B4Z on your centre console lid, if it originally had the L98 350 engine then its also legit.

What are the plans for it? when the weather gets better you should take a side by side pic with the Z24!

Originaly it had fog lamp, but the last owner used the fog lamp hole to dock the TPI air intake thru them.

My plans for it, it's bring it back in a decent shape. Like I did for my Z24.

Here is a picture of the RPO list.

And for sure, I will take good pictures as soon as the spring hits Montreal.

Why is there an SPI label over top of another one?

Not really saying the car isn't what you think it is, but that does seem odd to me. Did Heartbeat ever say why he thought it might not be a real IROC?

I guest that during its 30 years of life, the glove box cover has been replaced du to wear and tear!!

The Vin on the sticker matches the Vin of the car.

I confirm, it's the real deal. It is born IROC-Z!!

Is the vin number on the engine the same?

No, like I said earlier, the engine has been replace by a ZZ4 350 crate engine.
I'd forgotten that, as I didn't read over the entire thread again.

Anyway, if there is any doubt, there are a few places on the chassis where the vin or at least a partial vin can be found. Under the top of the passengers fender, on the inside of the quarter panels (you have to remove the plastic panels to see them), the door jam, hood and the bumpers. Probably a few other places too.
