ne 1/4 times?
nope the 1/4th track is in Indy at IRP. they run on tuesdays and its like $20 for 2 runs. at new hope we get unlimited runs for $10 from 5:45-7:45 then they have run for the money which is $20. so if you just test and tune, you can run again on breaks in the run for the money rounds. so you can get a ton of runs. its import night on thursday. course only about 20 people usually come so its not crowded. its just something to do. it only takes 45 min to get there so its close to home.patrick said:ne 1/4 times?
should be around 7800-8000rpms...nemesis25 said:What rpm are you shifting the 'lude at?
I agree with you, but I was wondering if girlracer was shifting too low. It just seemed like her times were too slow for a prelude.loungmastr said:should be around 7800-8000rpms...nemesis25 said:What rpm are you shifting the 'lude at?
yep, low 15's should be her target since she has no mods...nemesis25 said:I agree with you, but I was wondering if girlracer was shifting too low. oh i know, look ^, I driven manuals before, since my parents and brother only buy manuals. but i dont have the skills, i wanted my brother to go with me but he had to work. he is very good at racing. but i know i will get better with time. i'm still building a phase 1 z24 for my drag ride, i'm going with an automatic. so racing the prelude is just to find out what it will do, i just wanna have an idea on when i do mod it, how much better it gets.loungmastr said:yep, low 15's should be her target since she has no mods...
the prelude is extremely hard to get used to for good launches though... its nothing like driving a z, where the torque is immediately available; it definately involves some experience to drive correctly. (no offence girlracer)
