Hi, okay, to be honest my z-24 is not even functional right now, mostly because I can't afford the insurance (right now), even though the car itself is in great shape. That is all about to change drastically! In about 2 months I will have the cash to do alot of things to that car and I've already thought up the things I'm GOING to do, which are:
custom intake and homemade (re: cheap) ram air intake, TB bypass, a stage 2 chip w/ 160 thermostat, and a catback exhaust. hmm, I wonder where I got most of these ideas from... but this is what is being done first, so with these mods in mind, I just have the following questions:

Is it worth the time and money to spend cash on performance wires?
Since (I assume) I will have good air flow after doing the above mods - is a good follow up on that to get new injectors or maybe just a stronger fuel pump? Do you think it would be worth it to do any of that? Or is that just a quick way to blow MAD money on gas?
What does an aftermarket ignition system provide as opposed to factory? (I hope that question makes sense) Any benefit?

Sorry for the massive post. I'm just looking forward to getting my baby back on the road and back to having CRX's for breakfast. I appreciate any help you can give me. So keep on racing and here's hoping that I don't completely destroy my car with my (non-existant) mechanic skills.

Clever, the stock ignition is as good as youll need. Your fuel injectors are rated for anything you do to it unless you run nitrous or turbo.
It wont hurt to go with what you can afford on wires and coils or dis packs. Dont spend the extra money on electronic ignitions unless you plan on racing alot.
Good luck
