i have an 88 Z24 w/a bad 2.8 so im putting in a 3.1 and would like to do the cam before installing it in my car. (if its worth it)

I priced out a cam and it was 275 cdn, will it really give me 300 bucks worth of performance or should i do something else??

BTW I'm going to build a ram air intake also.

Try your good old GM dealer...

Go to their parts department, and ask for part #12364059. This is the Crane Compucam, but distributed by GM. My local dealer (Granby Quebec), quoted me 211$ on this cam 2 weeks ago.

They also have 3 other cams, but the one above has the best performance specs.

called the dealer today.

well they were cheapest at 200 bucks

BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>it doesn't come with lifters.

and low and behold lifters are 20.60 EACH!!!

so a grand total of $450 bucks gets you the same thing that 276 will, going to mopac tomorrow to get the cam from them.

thx for the info guys.
