My power steering pump has had this really annoying whine to it since i've owned my car for two years now. My power steering works fine, but the pump whines. Is there anything i can do to fix this? I am planning on selling my car soon, and the engine will be really quiet if i can fix the PS whine. BTW, it is a 92 2.2 5 speed.

you can try adding power steering fluid, that might help

Is it coming from the PS pump itself or the pulley? Try spraying WD-40 on the pulley bearing... see if that helps at all.

it's coming from the pump i'm pretty sure, but i'll try that.
