wai wait wait.... if the 3400 cylinder heads come from a 3.4 block, and ours is a 3.1 block, wouldnt the ridge(picture, red) create alot of turbulance, and rob shitloads of power from the engine,

its gonna take more time for the freakin shit to leave the cylinder, as well as fuel/air mixture to enter. . .

would sanding the corner to a smooth halfcircle help ?

no, the combustion chambar is the same size on the 3.1 and 3400

here are some pics:



you see, the combustion chamber isn't a circle with the same diameter as the bore.





my professional illustration shows you why they are called heart shaped combustion chambers :p
