Question on hood and engine

228 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  soup
I hit a deer recently and did some. . . mild damge to my Z. I got a new fender and got ahold of a header and headlight. But the corner of the hood is broken. Not broken off but cracked up pretty good. Anyone think putty would work for it? And does anyone know if a larger engine fits in the 88 Z. It has prabably been asked before but i have been looking on here and can't find it. I could always go and spend a few thousand on a new crate engine but i don't have that kind of money. So i would rather find a beefy engine that fits. Easiest way to get ahold of me is to E-Mail me. [email protected]
Thanks for the help.

if your hood is cracked it would be fairly cheap just to buy a new one. they run about 40-50 bucks from the junkers. as for the engine question. just do a search in the performance section you should find something.

LOL, not really, I've known about "theraven" for a few weeks now, for some reason I did a search on "raven" in the registries and I saw his. ;)

besides mine properly spelled is "The_Raven" notice the caps. ;)

It just may confuse some members at times.

Back on topic, depends on how baddly the hood is damaged, most of the time, I would just replace it, seeing as even some properly done repairs show up again a few weeks to years later.

And about the engine, take a look through the performance forum, some good ideas on different and larger engines there.
