so i just put the motor in my 95 cavi, motor was out of a 94 and i have everything hooked up but the temp gauge oes up after a few mins idling it goes up on hot, the fan is kicking in, and i have everyhting hooked up, now if im driving along it will stay down but if im going slow or stoped it goes back up on hot. i changed the thermastat froom my old motor to the one i put in because the plug in was differnt, any ideas? it goes up hot pretty quick to like start it up and between 5-10 mins from cold it is up on hot. if anyone can give me some help here let me kno. thnx

first off. what engin? is it a 4cyl also?

did you bleed the air out of the cooling system?? that will cause it to get hot realy fast if theres air in there

yeha that what i did, bleed the cooling system and she is ok now, just took the hose off the engine till water started comming out and kept squeezing the hoses and now its ok

you put a last gen engine in a 3rd gen??

the 2.2's are the same from 94-97 IIRC, so a 94 engine will work in a 3rd gen up until 97.....
