Rust converter

Anyone ever use this stuff? It was in a can at wally world, it's supposed to convert rust to black primer. I don't understand how that is possible. My buddy wants to use it on his truck and I may use it on my car if/when it starts to rust again. Any input is appreciated.

its ok if its stuff like your frame and shit... but if its like a painted surfece that has rusted.. then its not good to use.. cause your primer will still be lumpy from the rust.. and you'll still need to sand it down.... your better off just sanding any rust spots out.... if its your frame... that would be good stuff to use.. and then shoot some undercoating over top the primer...

I'm gonna have to second that motion. :D
It's great. I've used it and it really works. What your suppose to do is chip out the heavy rust and paint it on. It turns black when dry. Do another 2 or 3 coats. Then when dry apply the body filler over the stuff and sand. It will never rust in that area again and the body filler won't fall out or crack.
