I can be the first on this message board to report that my driver's side window has fallen off the guides. Never have I heard such ungodly noises. Should I attempt to fix this myself (which will happen no matter what)? I could use a little help on remounting this thing. What the hell causes a window to fall off the tracks?

The rear part of the window (by the seat belt door mount) seems to snag the top corner, but even when it's not at that section, the rear doesn't want to move. I managed to pop both guides out on that side. When the window goes up after I hand-adjust it, it sounds fine until it reaches about the 3/4 mark, at which point I hear more grinding noises seemingly from the front section of the door.

Never mind, I managed to disassemble my door and fix it. One of the guides attached to the glass got mangled, I just had to straighten it out as much as possible. Easier than I thought.
