My poor car I think it's slowly falling apart!
While I was driving my speedometer went from 40 then dropped to 0 and didn't work for a while, then kicked in and was fine now it will keep working intermittently...Could this be a loose connection? (the spurts are not pothole induced though) And it doesn't just do it at a certain rpm or mph.. so i can't keep track of it..

And as always thanks in advance for any help!

Sounds like it could be a failing VSS (vehicle speed sensor), or bad wiring from the VSS. The upside is, you could go over the 110 limit when the speedo isn't registering, since the computer won't know it is supposed to stop you from going any faster

The VSS is on the tranny, not really sure how to describe its exact location. It should have 2 wires running into it. Check to make sure the connections and wires look good. I don't think this would be an ECM problem, so you may need to replace the VSS if everything else looks good...
