where's the oil level supposed to be when the tranny(auto) is cold and hot??? i am confused i dunno if i have too much fluid or too little ???

It should say on the dipstick I think. I dont know cause I always check the fluid with the car in Park, idling on a level surface.

Brad is right. Just make sure thre motor is at normal operating temp anfd check it .

ok well....my oil is foamy and in previous posts it was said to check both levels, when it's hot and when it's cold????
