I was told that you cannot take a 3.1 engine that has a manual transmission and swap it for an automatic.Was told that the bolt pattern is different.Is this true?

Just remember to switch flywheels and the bolts especailly for the flywheel :wink: They are different lengths :wink:

Tell whoever that both the auto and manual trans also has the same bolt pattern for 3100, 3400, 3500, and even the 3800.

Thnx guys,just wanted to make sure.Gotta a line on a 3.1 that runs really nice out of a pontiac j6000 for 200.00.
