An underdrive pulley is both smaller and lighter than the stock pulley. The lighter weight removes a lot of rotating mass. That is less weight that the engine needs to spin, so that extra power goes to the wheels.
Also the FFP pulley underdrives the accessories by 19% meaning that less horsepower is taken up by the AC, Power steering, water pump, and the alternator.
