First things first. We worked on the flip flop trunk and made it to where u don't need a piece of wood or metal to hold the trunk up. He simply put a L bracket in the cornors of the hindge and lid. Ofcourse you have to cut the bracket down a bit to make sure it fits around the curves of the hindge. Heres a pic of what that looks like.

and heres a couple of pics of before and after.

sorry about this pic, i tried taken over a couple of times. But it still came out blurry. Ofcourse this is before.

And this is after

Hers a couple of mess around pics i took.

this is for all of to see the side pic of my car compared to my sig.

hope to see some of you at the bash!

hey how much did that kit cost you and from where, and do you have and suspension done?
What kit? If the body kit, its onderground design drift kit. Cost me around 1500 on sale... If the trunk. cost about 10 bucks, grabbed some t hindges and L brackets.
looks good but the problems w/ the L brackets your trunk can only flip & not flop.

thats the flop

how do you get the back of you trunkto close properly? my trunk closes but when im driving down the highway the back the trunk just flops alittle
so i have to bungee it from the inside in which case i have to go in the back seat un bungee it then go out and unlock the trunk. do you have that problem or is it just the way i did it?

cool man.. looks awesome... brooks trunk and hood look awesome too...

one question.. where did you get that cavalier banner from on your windshield bezal?
sup man nice work one ? i know i seen you out drivein and i may of ask you befor but do you live near owensboro ky if so i wouldd not mind seeing youer car agean if you wanted to maybe you couls stop by my new house ones i get it and stuff because them i will be swaping moter and trans missoin and rebuilding a motor and puting a 3.1 turbo in my car becaue i will have a 2 car grarge to my self but i just would love to meed some one frome the site in person lol but nice work keep up the good work
Ok brooks... we tried it your way and the lid wouldn't shut in the front. So we had to put the bolts back in the brackets anyways. And the L brackets are just placed with the other screws, so they don't interfere in any way. So if you have any information on how to close the trunk without it poping up plz let me know. Your intructions were hard to follow, and we just decided instead of caring around a piece of wood and having the lid uneven. Just to put braces so it will be even and won't have to tug around a piece of wood. Already carrying too much with me now. And i like the Flip alot better than the Flop. Gives you acces to your trunk better. And across the river on the old bridge is Spencer County. I live in that county so u prob see me in Owensboro often. Altho i go to Evansville alot, we cruise in Owensboro because more people are there. And i got the cavalier decal from the sales event at Roberts Statium. Not sure when it is now, but its their big blow out and a bunch of companies go there to sell stuff for cheap, and i mean cheap. U can buy a good 1000 watt amp with kicker solos for under 400 bucks.... and my 1400 amp cost me 400 bucks period. And i think i PM'd you on about meeting and stuff like that 90cavy. So check your messages.

so how does the front of the of the trunk (by the rear window) stay down when you do the trunk flip mod??
swizzle
mine doesnt stay down, i bolt it on to the hinges, then when i want it to be shown i just unbolt it really quick before i leave, take 30 seconds tops. Works out great for me :D

You have to put the bottom two screws back in for it to close properly. Thats the only prob i see with the flip/flop trunk mod. Don't know what brooks does, but we had the same prob when we tried his version.
slop some paint on that car..... just kiddin.... sweet lookin.. keep it up
