I want to take the Z down to the carwash and use the high pressure spray to wash my engine. I was wandering what all for electrical stuff needs to be covered. I know u should cover the air filter and the coil pack...... but what all else should i be careful of?????????? :-?

I think I've proven over and over again you can soak down anything under the hood and have no ill effects. I've done it for years. Soaked down the ALT the battery the coil packs everything with high pressure hoses and nothing has ever happpened to me. The only time a car didn't start right back up is when it used the old cap and rotor method and the cap got wet. Outside of that soak away without worry.

actualy I would cover the air cleaner and egr valve if it's digital.. usualy if you are carefull with the pressure washer and done let the direct spray hit electrical components nothing will happen.. When I washed my engine last time though I was carefull not to spray down any electrical but my egr didn't like the water and crapped out....
where at exactly is the EGR. Wait that might be in the how to. i guess then other than the Egr, filter and coil pack i should be fine. i got some engine degreaser tongiht at walmart for like 76 cents so im ready.
Yeah go for it.. just try to keep the direct spray way from the major electrical.. thats the big thing you have to do when pressure washing the motor.. a quick pass over it is fine.. but no more then that..
