this ahppens often, what youll want to do is check your firewall to make sure it hasnt rusted through in any area. also check where your wires go through the firewall and see if the area is still sealed. if that fails check the seal of the windsheild, thats another common place for these cars to leak.

My brother, Dskwared, had this same problem, I'd check with him.

I had this exact problem and here is the solution:

The section of a coolant line which runs from the reservoir to the heater core runs along the firewall, however half this line is rubber and half is steel. The steel line runs along the fire wall and it is coroded leaking coolant very slowly. The coolant beeing corrosive ate through the firewall. You have to pull back the carpet and fix the hole. You will have to replace the leaking steel hose with a normal heater hose.

dude, there's more then 1 way how water can come in. i had a rust hole in the firewall, some ppl's windsheilds were leaking, the holes you make for your deck of whatever, if they arent sealed properly can leak water, ive even heard of a crack in the firewall.
Mine leaks where they put those plugs in the floor underneath or whatever those things are?
It sound like your firewall is leaking. It's a normal problem with our cars. You will have to pull the carpet back and get a good look.My car did it very bad and there was 3 holes on the firewall area,it was very hard to repair them. But fix it soon cause it hard to get the musty smell from water.
just take a hose and spray from inside the engine bay, under the car on top, and whatever it takes to find the leak. your just going to need someone inside the car to keep an eye out for water. :D
Step 1: Pull back carpet.
Step 2: Put hose (without sprayer) under windsheild wiper.
Step 3: Go inside your car and look for water.
Step 4: Fix the problem.
