My brother about a month go called me on the phone and said that he saw a sunbird with a either a 1.8 or 2.0L OHC turbo engine. He was going to buy it for the GC but he said that the engine looked wrecked and that these engines were notorious for head gasket problems  in other words he didn't buy it  I wanted the engine so I can swap the 2.2L OHV with a powerhouse of an engine the OHC turbo. well i'm asking members of this site what they think of the engine because I want the car to have more power
P.S. later on in the year i'm nabbing a 2.8L V6 to put in the car :)

Gasket problems came be eliminated with the purchase of better gaskets
I think youre brother is pretty wise. That motor really looked bad. You would have had to tow it home , replace the head, have the turbo checked to see if its still good and then go through swapping everything over to the gc. Your brother is a smart man. :p :p :p
Oh by the way it was definitely a 1.8L turbo! :pimp:

Yeah Jamel it would have been more work than we needed to do. We wouldhave definitely nedded Tjs or als help!!!!
IMO after owning 2 of them, each for very short periods of time, the only thing worth swapping the 2.0L OHC either turbo or non, is into the trash can. ;)
