I didn't know that they put 2.0's in the Cavalier. I thought it was only 2.2's. Anyways on my 2.0 it is right under the rad cap with a metal handle you grab and she comes right out. Easiest thermostat i've ever changed!
Follow your upper rad hose which is the one on the drivers side of the engine and see where it goes to the housing on the side of the cylinder head
ahh cool i have to replace that stupid hose anyway, do you know if i can just get a hose from pep boys or whatever or do i need a gm hose cuz of the little kinks and crap it has?
The part is probably available everywhere, with the proper kinks in it already!
I know the local aftermarket stores around here have the rad hoses. Make sure you know the bends properly. They may sell you one that looks close but won't fit.
